Kea Construction Technology is a specialist consultancy at the intersection of construction, technology, and innovation. Based in Wellington, we bring together deep on-site experience and digital expertise to help bridge the gap between BIM and the field.

Founded by Cara Daggar, Kea was born out of a desire to ensure that the gains made in the digital space don’t get lost in translation to site. With over 12 years in the construction industry—including nine years in main contractor site management and a strong background as a technical detailer—Cara has built a reputation for pragmatic, hands-on BIM leadership. She has tested and refined robust BIM-to-field workflows using tools like 3D scanners and Total Stations, and works closely with skilled trades to ensure each approach  works where it matters most: on site.

Cara is highly proficient in Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Navisworks, ReCap, and Point Layout, and brings a forward-thinking, practical approach to every project.

In 2024, Kea officially expanded with the addition of Luke Hribar, who leads Operations and brings commercial expertise to our services. A qualified electrician turned Quantity Surveyor with 8 years of main contractor experience, Luke’s analytical mindset and passion for technology are helping us push further into BIM-enabled cost management.
