Cara has been a dedicated professional in the Wellington construction industry for over 12 years. She brings a unique combination of technical expertise and leadership to the Design Management and BIM space. Cara began her career as a technical detailer, later adding depth  to that skill set with nine years of on-site experience in Site Management.

Throughout her career, Cara has demonstrated a strong passion for leveraging technology to improve construction processes, enhance quality and efficiency, and deliver consistently outstanding results for clients. She has developed and honed her proficiency in BIM alongside her site-based work, mastering tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Navisworks, ReCap, and Point Layout.

Cara takes an innovative approach to ensuring that digital advancements seamlessly translate to on-site execution. She has tested and refined BIM-to-field workflows, collaborating closely with some of the most skilled tradespeople in the local industry to gather insights and optimize methods.

Additionally, she has utilized cutting-edge technology, including 3D scanners and Total Stations, to facilitate these workflows.

Kea represents the culmination of Cara’s experience and expertise in the industry, serving as a platform to provide high-quality services and innovative solutions. Cara sees this as just the beginning of an exciting journey in driving advancements within the construction sector.

Luke joins Kea Construction Technology as Co-Director and Head of Operations. Luke is an electrician by trade and transitioned into the role of Main Contractor Quantity Surveyor, where he spent over eight years gaining comprehensive experience managing construction projects from concept to completion. 

Luke's role at Kea focuses on streamlining workflows while bringing a strong commercial perspective to every aspect of the business. His ability to analyze projects in detail and identify innovative solutions ensures the delivery of exceptional outcomes for clients and partners alike. 

Committed to ongoing learning and innovation, Luke has been building his expertise in Building Information Modelling processes. He is exploring ways to incorporate BIM into cost management practices to improve project accuracy and efficiency.
